Housework with holiday cheer,
Its an oxymoron every year.
Cooking, cleaning, breaking your back,
Just so Santa can have a snack?
Commercialism hasnt won.
I refuse to participate.
To buy toys ads overrate.
Ridiculous commercials pollute,
Money and gifts are not absolute.
What happened to giving is receiving?
Did the whole world stop believing?
Santa, where are you and your little elves?
Collecting dust on the clearance shelves?
Slow down this season and think again,
Peace on earth, goodwill to men.
